I use free appliqué and free hand machine embroidery to transfer my ideas as well as images of nature or close-up scenes from everyday life onto fabric.
In my free motion stitch drawings, sketched with black thread on canvas, and my patchwork collages, I explore new dimensions of identity, language, time and place.
My work evolves in a long creative process. From an initial idea, my stitch images and stories develop in a meditative journey of cutting, reassembling and sewing.
